We invite you into the Masorti spaces, a vibrant meeting point between Jewish past and future, between tradition and renewal. This is where we live, celebrate, learn and pray. Together, we search for answers from Jewish tradition to meet contemporary challenges. Jewish life and Jewish learning – Torah and Halacha – shape our everyday life and our celebrations in preschools, schools, and synagogues. Our seven Masorti principles form the foundation of our educational program, contributing to the diversity of Jewish life in Germany – accessible, joyful, and with space for personal discovery. We look forward to your questions, ideas and participation.
Our programs support personal Jewish paths of individuals and families,– whether you are discovering anew, experimenting, questioning, or deepening your relationship with your Jewishness. Together, we create and shape lively and welcoming spaces for Jewish life that affirm Jewish identity in a relaxed and authentic environment.
Our egalitarian values shape our daily life at home and work, as well as our celebrations of Shabbat and holidays (chagim). This includes the life cycle events from Brit Milah and Simchat Bat through Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Chuppah and more, milestones that mark our life journeys.
Our guiding principle is to empower each individual and every family to make their own informed Jewish choices. Together we can build a vibrant Jewish present and future in Germany.
Jewish Tradition – Continuity and Conversation
Jewish tradition has grown during the centuries, from biblical to rabbinic times to today, in constant exchange with many and diverse cultures and philosophical approaches. This dialogue continues today as we seek answers to contemporary questions and challenges through the study of traditional texts.
Masorti’s place in the center of the Jewish spectrum allows for conversations and meetings in many directions. Within the Jewish religious context, we engage in open and thoughtful conversations, especially with children and young people, rooted in our own sense of belonging.
This approach is also the basis for our engagement in relevant political and societal discussions and debates. We invite you to be part of this conversation and to help shape our shared spaces!

Our Partners in Germany
The Central Council of Jews in Germany is the central structure for organized Jewish life in Germany, in all its diversity, supporting communities and initiatives, and being a strong political voice on the national level. We cooperate on many different levels with the Central Council and its institutions and we participate in Central Council projects such as the Mitzvah Day.
Masorti rabbis are members of the Allgemeine Rabbinerkonferenz, ARK, (General Rabbinical Conference of Germany) within the Central Council, where we work together with colleagues from other denominations.
The Masorti Rabbinical School “Abraham Joshua Heschel Seminary” under the umbrella of the Nathan Peter Levinson Foundation trains Masorti rabbis.
The most important partner for our preschools and school, in addition to state institutions, is the “Association of Daycare and After School Centers” DaKS – Dachverband der Kinder- und Schülerläden, an umbrella organization that supports us with consultation, training, administration, and advocacy.
