The annual meeting of the European Region of the Rabbinical Assembly took place in Berlin for the second time after 2005. Jewish life in Germany and Berlin, discussing the issue "How a Synagogue system works" with Dr. Suzanne Stier and text studies with Rabbi Reuven Hammer were the main topics of this meeting. The conference took place in old and new places in Berlin: in the rooms of the American Jewish Committee, in the former Academy of Science of Judaism, now the Central

Council of Jews in Germany, in the Masorti Center and in the Oranienburger Strasse Synagogue.
In addition, we were very happy to welcome 50 guests for an event at the Centrum Judaicum with tasty food, music and exciting talks.

The highlight of this conference was a meeting and discussion with the Federal Minister of the Interior, Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble, who spent an hour discussing current religious and political issues with us. We are grateful for the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior for this conference.
